Cardboard with a wax coating
Wet cardboard
Cardboard cannot be mixed with anything else and all food must be removed before dropping off cardboard.
Plastic types that the depot accepts & does not accept
Accepted: (All products must be generally clean and free from any contamination, labels can remain on item.)
#1, #2, or #5 plastic containers
Plastic bags and film
Not accepted:
No other plastics other than the ones mentioned above will be accepted at the Recycle Depot.
Bubble wrap, including shipping envelopes
Stretch wrap film
Please check the bottom of plastic containers and ensure the recycling emblem has a #1, #2, or #5 before dropping it off. Unfortunately, containers not marked with these numbers cannot be processed.

E-waste that the depot accepts & does not accept
Accepted: (All products must be generally clean and not contaminated.)
In general almost all electrical devices that are for personal/ home use with a cord and/or batteries are eligible to be recycled.
Small appliances (blenders, coffee makers, food processor etc)
Personal care (curling irons, hair dryers, heating pads etc)
Audio / Visual (TVs, karaoke machines, E-books etc)
Power tools (Angle grinder, battery charger, jigsaw etc)

Not accepted:
Any items that are business/commercial use
Products with Freon (refrigerant)
Any items that are not on the list at this link cannot be accepted at this facility.

Grass clipping, trees, leaves, and branches are not accepted but can be taken to the City of Camrose landfill organics area composting area

Styrofoam and and plastics marked #3, 4, 6, and 7
Anything containing Freon or refrigerant
Appliances larger than a microwave
Organics of any kind are prohibited. You may be able to take your organics to the organics area of the landfill. See the City of Camrose page for more information

It is unlawful to leave household hazardous waste at the Recycle with Centra Cam depot.
Household hazardous waste inludes the following and cannot be dropped off at the depot:

Coal Ash
Antifreeze
Chemical Strippers
Chlorine
Contact cement
Fire extinguishers
Asbestos products
Fuel
Poisons
Pesticides
Herbicides

Alternative:
The Camrose Regional Solid Waste Authority hosts a spring and fall household hazardous waste round-up each year in Camrose.
Camrose residents are invited to dispose of their household hazardous waste products at this event. Please call the City of Camrose at 780-672-4428 for more information or visit their website for more information.
